Presidential elections were held in the Reformed States on November 4, 2036. Ron DeSantis, incumbent president and Republican Party nominee, alongside running mate Tim Scott, defeated the Democratic ticket of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the junior U.S. Senator from New York, and Shawn Fain, labor unionist and president of the United Auto Workers. Andrew Yang, entrepreneur and founder of the Forward Party, ran alongside former Arizona senator Kirsten Sinema, receiving over 7% of the national popular vote and nearly winning Sinema's home state.
