The 10th Annual Contemporary Music Awards ceremony was held on the 15th of June, 2019, at the newly opened Townsend International Convention Centre in Edenguard. Legendary producer Bastian Ramos, better known as rkm, hosted the ceremony with singer-songwriter and dancer Ada Bluewell.
Many-a-time CMA winning producer (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014) Banter Prime was brought out as the CMA Guest of Honour, performing his breakout, multiple CMA winning single "I Can't Stop". After the performance, there a surprise appearance from Andre Gold, one of the founders of the CMAs, who also performed his multiple CMA winning breakout "Stronger".
Dalton Lee (99 DΔL) stole the stage, nominated for six CMAs and taking home three. Musical critics and analysts and many respected figures in the GK music industry compare his meteoric rise over the last year with that of Banter Prime, who took the GK and the world by storm in the early 2010s.
Longstanding and respected producer Ethan Aster was nominated for three and took home two CMA awards as well. Rapper Blake Miller was also nominated for three CMA's and took two home. Singer/songwriter and dancer Lena Vallas was nominated for two CMA's and took one home.
Since this was the 10th Annual CMA Ceremony, the venue also included awards pertaining to the decade, honouring the most influential artists of the past 10 years and their impact on the growing scene of the contemporary genres in the Great Kingdom and abroad.
