Athanasia (Athanasia Elpida Sotiria; born 22 October 2001) is a Princess of Lihnidos and daughter of Empress Stella II. She is the fourth child of the Empress. She is currently fourth-in-line to inherit the Lihnidosi throne.

Athanasia was born in Arcadia, Lihnidos at Saint Maria's Hospital on 22 October 2001. After her baptism on 4 November 2001 she was considered to be fifth-in-line for the throne after her mother and three siblings. Following in the path of her mother and sisters, she attended Saint Anna's School for Girls in the capital. She attended the school during primary education and is currently going through secondary education. She is expected to graduate from Saint Anna's in 2019.

Athanasia is a follower of the Fabrian Catholic Church and, whether by choice or through her parent's direction, has lived a private life away from the normal spotlight that someone of her stature would attract.

Early Life and Education

Athanasia was born on 22 October 2001 in room 690 of Saint Maria's Hospital in Arcadia, Lihnidos. She was born at 7:44 PM to Princess Stella, Duchess of Rhithasa (later Stella II) and Yorgos of Ikaria. She was the third daughter of the duchess as well as her fourth and youngest child. After her baptism on 4 November 2001 she was considered to be fifth-in-line to the throne of Lihnidos.

Athanasia spent most of her early childhood with her father and siblings while her mother was occupied with the duties that came with her position as crown princess. In 2001 her mother took leave of her regular duties in order to spend more time with her family. Despite having less time without her mother as her other three siblings, it has been reported by insider sources that the relationship between Athanasia and her mother never developed as much as it did between the Empress and her other children.

At the age of five she was enrolled at the same school that her mother and two sisters attended, Saint Anna's School for Girls. She attended Saint Anna's during primary education and earned As and Bs. She moved on secondary education on schedule and is expected to graduate from Saint Anna's in the summer of 2019.

Personal Life

Athanasia has been the most private of the Empress's children. She has no known social media accounts and has never spoken to the media. She has been absent from several public events that were attended by other members of the imperial family which has drawn questions about her relationship with other members of her family. She has been spotted occasionally at the Royal Palace of Ithaca and on two occasions has been seen there while the rest of her family had been together on vacation in other parts of the country or abroad.
