Alexander, the Hereditary Prince (born Alexander Nicholaus Gregorio Philippos Constantine; 15 June 1984) is the heir apparent to the Belfrasian throne as the eldest son of Sovereign Prince Nicholaus. He has been the Duke of Tres since 2014, residing in a residence in Mondria managed by the Royal Household.

Alexander was born at Questros Palace the twin brother of his sister Victoria on 15 June 1984, and soon had two younger brothers George (born 5 May 1990) and Christos (born 7 April 1993). He and his sister followed in their fathers footsteps to attend the illustrious Jason V Academy, although Alexander spent a year at the Oesterlong Grammar School in Pelopanesia. He eventually attended Nuovo Portelli, the country's most elite university alongside his sister, although while she went on to study medicine he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree before focusing on his performing his official duties as Heir Apparent alongside his father.

Whilst performing his official duties he founded the Principality Trust, an organisation that runs ten charities with him as their president. The organisation, through these charities, focuses on a broad range of areas including education, environmental reform, and welfare of unemployed or disabled individuals. He has personally campaigned for greener energy alternatives and through his trust has raised more than B$192 million for research toward green energy.

He has made royal visitations to countries on behalf of his father, most notably to Latium on several occasions to the Imperial Court that his nation used to have as it's center of state.

Early Years

Alexander Nicholaus Gregorio Philippos Constantine was born in Questros Palace with his twin sister Victoria on 15 June 1984 to his father, the Sovereign Prince Nicholaus and to his mother Beata Anicia. Shortly after their birth their mother began to suffer from Postnatal depression and at the recommendation of the court's physician Nicholaus moved him and his family temporarily from their residence in Thessalona to their private residence in Lacrositis, where the warmer climate and Makrian sea hoped to help their mother. They spent their first three years of life moving from Thessalona to Lacrositis with their father and two nannies looking after them with their mother visiting or caring for them when able. Eventually their mother returned to caring for them full time in 1988. When Alexander and his sister were six years old George was born on 5 May 1990, and fears of a recurrence of their mother's postnatal depression were unfounded.

Education Years

When Alexander and his sister were eight years old, in 1992, they began to attend the prestigious Jason V Academy in Salonika which they boarded at during term time, although often spending weekends at Questros palace or away with one or both of their parents. During his attendance at Jason V Academy he was subject to bullying for a lisp he had throughout his life up to that point. His father placed him temporarily at the Oesterlong Grammar School in Pelopanesia where he was taught how to combat his lisp and, when he and his tutors were confident that he would no longer speak with a lisp he returned to Jason V Academy in 1997.

Shortly after returning to Jason V Academy, Alexander picked up Tennis as a sports class and eventually began to play at a semi-professional level, winning a domestic championship in 2000 and being a runner-up for the same championship in 2001.

Upon reaching eighteen, in 2002, Alexander departed Jason V Academy for Nuovo Portelli alongside his sister once again, but while she began to study for medicine at the university's medical school, he began classes in fine arts. In 2004 he was questioned by campus security for noise complaints after hosting a party at his residence building. His tutors told biographers in 2013 that he was "very boisterous" in classes, usually ending up provoking a fellow class mate into anger or embarrassment with pranks or a sarcastic approach to subjects. Despite this, he graduated Nuovo Portelli with a bachelors degree in fine arts in 2008 and chose to begin performing his royal duties as Heir Apparent alongside his father.

As a Belfrasian Prince and a member of the House of Dimitrios, Alexander does not utilize a surname. If he were to utilize a surname, it would be likely that he would take on the Dimitrios Name; however, it is also possible that the name for all children of the sovereign to simple be "of Belfras". For ceremonial and formal purposes, Alexander by right of being next in line to the throne is entitled to the rank of "Hereditary Prince", while other members of the royal family excluding the sovereign are entitled to the rank of "prince" or "princess" after their Christian name followed by the territorial designation "of Belfras." This means that Alexander would be styled as "Alexander, the Hereditary Prince." In 2014 he was granted the titular duchy of Tres, making him the Duke of Tres. However, given his position as the Hereditary Prince, the duchy does not take place in his titles in formal styles, except for missives directly relating to the Duchy in which he is referred to as "Alexander, the Duke of Tres."
