The Amathian Section of the Workers' International (Amathian: Ⱄⰵⰽⱌⰹⱆⱀⰵⰰ Ⰰⰿⰰⱚⱐ ⰰ Ⰹⱀⱅⰵⱃⱀⰰⱌⰹⱁⱀⰰⰾⰵⰹ Ⰿⱆⱀⰽⰹⱅⱁⱃⰹⰾⱁⱃ, Secțiunea Amathă a Internaționalei Muncitorilor), known by the abbreviation of SAIM (ⰔⰀⰉⰏ), is a historical party in Amathia, founded as a political force which advocated for council communist politics. Originally founded in 1903, the party was considered illegal and was repressed by the Kingdom of Amathia, until the end of the Great War, when with Kirenian and Soravian support, the party established the Amathian Council Republic. Positioning itself as the sole legal political party, the Amathian Section controlled the country until in 1958, when the party split in two separate factions. The Equalist faction won the struggle for power and the party split, with the defeated internationalists going into exile and founding a split political entity abroad. In the country, the Equalists disbanded the party and replaced it with the League of Equalist Unity. The Amathian Section remained illegal in Amathia and then in the South Euclean People's Republic until the Amathian Revolution, when it was again registered in Arciluco, but with a firm commitment to democratic socialist principles. The modern Amathian party was recognized by InterCon as the official Amathian Section in 1993, and continues to exist as a political party in the present, having joined the electoral alliance and later merging into the new party known as the Left United for the Republic.
