Asturica, officially the Royal Asturican Federation (Asturican: Real Federación Asturicana) is a country located on Northern Meterra. Covering an area of 386,636 square kilometres (149,281 sq mi), it has a coastline on the WIP to the east and a coastline on the WIP to the southwest. It borders Saintonge to the north, Sasten to the south, and New Aleman to the west. Sadena is the nation's capital and third largest city. Other major urban areas include Viassa, Salegre, Vircia, Cacedo, Aruel, and Cueres.

Asturica's military, the Royal Defense Forces (Asturican: Forzas Reais de Defensa), is comprised of three primary branches: the Imperial Ground Forces (Asturican: Forzas Terrestres Reais), the Imperial Aviation Corps (Asturican: Real Corpo de Aviación) which is more commonly referred to as the Royal Air Force, and the Royal Navy (Asturican: Mariña Real). The total number of service members in 2025 totaled WIP across all branches (both active duty and reserve personnel). In absolute terms, Asturica's military expenditure is equal to ??? IBU, roughly ???% of the nation's annual GDP.
The King of Asturica acts as supreme commander of the Royal Defense Forces in both times of peace and war, though should the King be unable to attend to military matters at any given point, command instead falls to the Royal Chief of the General Staff.
The Royal Defense Forces is nominally a wholly voluntary force, though national conscription may be introduced in times of national emergency on the King's order.
