2018-19 Cavian Super League

The Cavian Super League is the top level of the Cavian football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Cavian Division B.

The Super League is a corporation in which the member clubs act as shareholders. Seasons run from March to December with each team playing 38 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. It is often known outside The Cavian State as the Cavian Super League (CSL).

The league was founded in 2000 when the Cavian Football Federation disbanded and restructured the league system to accommodate the burgeoning number of new professional and amateur clubs in the nation. The league generates $2.9 billion per year in domestic and international television rights. In 2015, teams were apportioned revenues of $1.9 billion, rising sharply to $2.7 billion in 2017.

The Super League is the most-watched sports league in the world, broadcast all 20 Animalian nations to 1.5 billion homes and a potential TV audience of 6.9 billion people. In the 2015 season, the average Super League match attendance exceeded 48,000, second-highest of any professional football league behind the Arirean Cup's 50,500. Most stadium occupancies are near capacity. The Super League ranks second in the ACF coefficients of leagues based on performances in Animalian competitions over the past ten seasons, as of 2018.

Thirty-one clubs have competed in the Super League since its inception. Six have won the league: Mochiville Football (6), Oscar Palace (4), AFC National (3), Southsea United (2), Club Abyssinian (1) and Northhills United (1).
