Agarntrop 1790 2012 N/A N/A Conscription was originally established as two years of service for all 16-year-old Agarn boys in the new constitution of 1790, however, until the industrial revolution this was not enforced in most of Agarntrop as the pre-industrial sparsity was too difficult. Once cities became bigger conscription became commonplace and full enforcement began in 1902. There were many movements protesting conscription that managed to gain ground in the 1960s, the ADC government pledged to abolish it in 1969. However, following the 1970 elections and the 1973 boxing day coup the practice was once again rigourous with no end in sight. After the Agarn civil war, it was expected the new rebel government would abolish conscription, but they only changed it's nature by lowering it's required time to 6 months, making it a non-combat role and raising the age to 18. Following a conscription crisis its enforcement was ended in 1992 and it was eventually officially abolished by an amendment to the constitution in 2012. However, that amendment states conscription can be reinstated if the government deems "the Agarn state under threat" and would also enforce it for women.
Aziallis 1692 N/A 24 months Yes Stuff about it
Clant Griandland 36 months Yes Service is voluntary, but citizen that has year(s) being repetition at school is compulsory to do the conscription
Demitor 1845 N/A 28 Months No Demitorian Conscription was established by the Select Service Act of 1845 passed by the 13th General Assembly (Demitor). A constitutional amendment followed in 1900 with the passage of the Ninth Amendment (Demitorian Constitution), which lengthened service and the time commitment to the military. Those that opt-out of military conscription will be conscripted into the Work Corps (Demitor), with an extended length of service to 38 months working on public projects and infrastructure.
Ganji Islands 1960 N/A 15 months No Conscription is compulsory for men, but for women it's voluntary. 40% of the women choose to serve in the army. Usually people serve when they finish their secondary or tertiary education, usually at 18-24 years old.
Hyrtexia 1922 N/A 18 months No Conscription was established upon the formation of the Socialist Federal Republic and is a key part of Hyrtexian culture. A boy is seen to become a man when he has served his first 18 months in the army, starting at the age of 16, right at the end of secondary school studies, and before tertiary education.
Mesadora 1883 1885 N/A N/A Mesadora has been without a standing military for nearly its entire national existence. The state religion generally forbids violent actions by its members, and thus a standing military would be antithetical. The state is defended by neighbouring trade partners and by the general worthlessness of the land occupied.
Nerany 1954 N/A 10 months Yes N/A
Neuewland 1706 N/A Varies Yes Conscription is not usually in effect, but during times of emergency, the Plutocratic council instates a conscription law which conscripts up to 10% of the Neuew population, randomly selected among all adults between 16 to 40, into the military, usually to be used as filler for the spaztverces and landarbeiters to work alongside of. This law dates all the way back to the early 1700s, when the Merchant Princes of Neuewland began consolidating the islands that composed the de jure High Kingdom of Neuewland.
Paslin 1950 N/A 24 months Yes Conscription is in effect; however, Paslin has kept a small army, and instead usually trains the recruits, so they can be ready to be called up and go through training much quicker should the need arise. All civilians aged 16 to 42 have to undergo conscription unless they don't have citizenship yet.
Sacrofnia 1620 N/A 15 months Yes "The workouts are harder than any battlefield"
Shadoveil 1634 1984 N/A N/A In Shadoveil conscription was implemented in 1634 and Abolished in 1984, When Shadoveil was the Republic of Gloria conscription started at the age of 15 and they served for an indefinite time. This lasted until the Glorian Government was finally overthrown in late 1983 and once the king regained power in early 1984 they abolished it.
Viha 1927 N/A 6 months No N/A
Weissmark 1799 N/A 12 months No TBA
Wolfgalia 1961 N/A 12 months Yes Wolfgalian military training and service is mandatory for a period of one year, accepted any time between the ages of 18 and 24 for all citizens. This owes mostly to the smaller size and more skill oriented focus of the military and the Galea belief that all people should be able to defend themselves in any circumstance, be it life-threatening or trivial.
