Dakota Hudson (born (1976-03-30) March 30, 1976 (age 48), Dakota Helena Hudson) is a Zamastanian-born, Alecburghish-raised politician who is currently serving as the Deputy-Prime Minister of Alecburgh since December 2, 2021. She was offered the position from newly elected Prime Minister, Pacifica Champlain-Kourtney on December 1, and would be inaugurated the next day at The White Palace in Kynnport. She is a the first non-Alecburghish born person, and first woman, to hold the position.

Political career

Representative of the 3rd Congressional District of the State of Utahi

Hudson was elected on June 20, 2002 to Represent the 3rd Congressional District of the State of Utahi, the most populated of all congressional districts in the state as it includes the capital of Opal Dunes and the nearby suburbs of Elliot Sands and Rainbow Ravine. She became the first non-Alecburghish born person to hold the position in any congressional district in Utahi.

Hudson resigned from her position to pursue the position of Prime Minister on November 12, 2021. Nineteen years after holding the position, she is the person to hold the longest time in the position through six separate elections.

Deputy-Prime Minister of Alecburgh

On Election Day in late 2021, Hudson would lose the election to winner Pacifica Champlain-Kourtney. Pacifica would then offer Hudson the position of Deputy-Prime Minister, since she had never chose a running mate. Hudson accepted and would be inaugurated on December 2.

On December 21, Hudson and Champlain-Kourtney attended a conference with local leaders of the state of Beaves-Hatteras. After exiting the building, shots were fired at the two leaders. While the Prime Minister got away unharmed, Hudson was brought to Tannyville Metropolitan Hospital due to being shot in her clavicle. The perpetrator, Billy Tanner, would later be caught on December 23 outside of Lynn, Beaves-Hatteras. Hudson would be discharged on December 26.

After the event, the Line of Succession for Prime Minister was put into question as the Alecburghish Constitution states that the Prime Minister: "Must be Alecburghish born." Meaning, Hudson would be unable to become Prime Minister if anything were to ever happen to Champlain-Kourtney. The Alecburghish Parliament will be debating this topic in late-January.
