Eduard Stein

Eduard Stein, a Morrawian citizen owned Propera-Pharma which he launched in Fichmanistan in 1946, during the reign of the dictator John Arnold. Stein had initially faced problems getting his company and its products approved by the FSC (Fichmani Safety Commission), Stein solved this problem by getting Chair of the FSC, Kirk Lampart a substantial amount of shares in the company through a Moravian based holding company. In 1952, four years after democracy had been re-established in the country; Stein was charged with felony tax evasion, securities fraud and Healthcare fraud in Morawia. Stein fled to the Fichmanistan, and having already been a Fichmani National since 1949 was allowed to temporarly reside there. The government of Moravia demanded Stein be handed over immediately or actions would be taken. President Éamon O'Beirne of Fichmanistan feared making his country look weak, and sought counsel from his old freind and current Minister for Justice, Kirk Lampart. Lampart encouraged O'Beirne to defend Fichmanistan and its sovereignty and insinuated the charges against Stein were fabricated. 

Stein was allowed to live out the rest of his life in Fichmanistan and no action was taken by the Moravian government. Relations between the two countries were soured so much that when in 1952 minister for forign affairs Omar Kendrick and minister for justice bruce james were tracking down and seizing the assets of the Arnold family, the Morawian governmemnt would not confirm who the owner of the Hawethorne & Co. holding company belongs to. The holding company owned Cidi Foods, a substantial food manufacturer in Fichmanistan.

Hawethorne & Co. was later confirmed to be owned by Fredrick Arnold, brother of John Arnold and Chairman of Cidi Foods for the since 1941.
