The H-17 Síofra (English: sprite) is a light helicopter in military and civil use manufactured by the Ossorian aerospace defense company Tionscail Ríoga Aeraspáis (TRA). First flown in 1967, it was developed in response to a requirement for a new light scouting helicopter by the Royal Ossorian Army. The Síofra entered into service with the Royal Army in 1973 and has since become the standard light helicopter platform across the Ossorian Armed Forces, performing roles including light transport, scouting, fire direction, training, and light attack profiles.
