Hammerfest, officially the United Socialist Republic of Hammerfest (Hammerfesting: Förenade Socialistiska Republiken Hammerfest), is a country in Scandinavia. It borders Pavlovsk to the east and shares a maritime border with the Hulmian Federation and Niagara Union to the south and west respectively. . With a population of just over twelve million, Hammerfest is one of the most sparsely populated countries in Europe.

As identified in the Revised Constitution of 1999, Hammerfest is a "parliamentary democracy that embraces the ideals of socialism and practices unity in rule by means of a vanguard party."
