The Royal Sloughttopian Monarchial Party (RSMP), or more commonly known as the Monarchial Party is one of the two main political parties in Sloughttopia. The Monarchial party is rivaled with the Democratic party. The Monarchial Party is usually represented by purple and the peacock.
The Monarchial Party was established by Queen Keni I during Sloughttopia's independence in August of 2023. The party mainly focuses on Sloughttopia's international stability and strength. They work on things like GDP, international relations, exporting, importing, establishment of power, wars, immigration, etc. This is almost opposite to the focuses of the democratic party, who focus on internal things. The party, despite it's name has very little to do with an actual total monarchy.
The Monarchial Party can be split into 3 sections, The executive, legislative, and civil sections. The executive section only consists of one position which can only be appointed by the reigning monarch, in this case, the queen. This is basically the party's version of a CEO and the person in this position is in full control of the party's actions (as long as they have at least 60% of support from the legislative section). The legislative section is a branch of the Sloughttopian Legislature that isn't just confined to the Monarchial Party. There can also be members of all other parties in the legislative section. People in the legislative section usually host meeting to vote for things and to bass bills and laws. There are legislative elections on the third week of May every year. The civil section consistys of civil servant member of the low parts of the government. Usually, mayors would fall into this section.
The term Monarchial refers to the sponsorship and foundation from the royal family, the establishment of international power, and the culture behind it. Members of the party are called 'Monarchs' or 'Monarchials'.
The representation of the peafowl comes from the patriotism of the white peafowl, which is the national animal of Sloughttopia. The peafowl is often represented in purple and with a crown atop it's head. The monarchial party is often represented by purple. Purple represents royalty, strength, power, and is patriotically the most common favorite color in Sloughttopia.
The Monarchial party, prior to 2024 elections represents about half of the Sloughttopian legislature, but all previous, re-electable members have been taken out of power as Sloughttopia prepares for the 2024 legislative elections.
