The Rugby World Cup is an annual men's rugby union tournament hosted within Aeia. The event was established in TBD by the IRB as the Rugby Union World Championship, contested between the most successful teams in the Outlands Cup and the Heartlands Cup, until TBD, when the tournament was renamed as the Rugby World Cup. Its original qualification requirements were changed to allow nations from neither the Outlands Cup nor the Heartlands Cup to participate. The first tournament was hosted by TBD and was won by TBD. The current tournament is hosted by Vidoria and features 16 teams.
