Sainte-Marie is the second largest city in Cassier with a population of 4,991,732. It is the most populous city the province of Monbec, and is the prefecture for the department of Greater Sainte-Marie. The urban centre of the city is located on island of Sainte-Marie (Gaullican Île de Sainte-Marie) on the Saint-Marcus River.
