The Social Democratic Party is a centre-left political party in Albeinland. Today, the party is the second largest in Albeinland and the largest of Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition, which also includes the Green Party and the Federalist Union against the conservative and nationalist government coalition. The Social Democratic Party also has the second largest number of councillors in the local authorities and received 32% of the votes in the 2018 election after seven years in government.

Historically, the party has direct ties to the Petwrick Party, founded in the late 19th century by Charles Russell and other radical dissidents of the Oxford Party, ruling the country for 18 years. In 1834, the party is officially extinguished and its members return to the radical wing of the already Liberal Party. In 1874, Vladimir Heckney, inspired by the Communist Manifesto, founds the Socialist Workers Union, attracting the working class but failing to have many seats in parliament. In 1899, the party is extinguished and the Social Democratic Party is created with a more moderate ideology, having been able to elect chancellors since 1920 and to remain in the government for 34 years, between 1952 and 1986.

Ideologically, the party adopts a centre-left position both economically and socially, defending the nationalization of important sectors, the establishment of a welfare state, progressive taxes and it is in favor of LGBT and pro-immigration guidelines. The great majority of the party - including its leader Thomas Corbyn - defends the maintenance of the monarchy, although there is a small republican minority.
