Venetia (French: Vannes or Vennisseaux) is a region located Eracura in Tyran, comprising French Eracura. Venetia is comprised of two different polities- Acrean Venetia and the Venetian Principality. Originally a single archduchy as part of Acrea, Venetia was divided in 1958 following a referendum which saw the various provinces of Venetia split almost in the middle. Those provinces which chose to become independent were finally granted independence after the authoring of the Venetian Constitution, heavily modeled on the Acrean Constitution, in 1959. Those provinces which voted against independence remained a part of Acrea, making up a reformed archduchy within Acrea. Today, both Acrea and the Venetian Principality have extremely close relations, and an open-borders policy means that travel and trade between the two is extremely frequent.
