Gran Telea is the capital city of Beatavic, largest and principle city of the Gran Telea-Fairbrook metropolitan area and the smallest province in land area. As of 2020 it has a population of 4.2 million, being the second largest city in Beatavic in terms of population.
Gran Telea was previously incorporated into Greenbridge, but after July 1822, a bill was passed permitting Gran Telea the status of province, with surrounding areas also being incorporated into Gran Telean provincial territory.

On August 30th, 2021, an earthquake measuring 8.2 originating 121.3 km (75.3 mi) west of Gran Telea created a tsunami which measured 37.2 m (122 ft) in Sarrapaluk, a town 110.8 km (68.8 mi) south of Gran Telea. At 2:32 PM local time, an alert was issued ordering those that live within a 18.1 km (11.2 mi) radius of the Galton Sea to evacuate inland. 6 hours after the alert was issued, the tsunami struck Gran Telea, although most people within the specified radius of the Galton Sea were already evacuated.
