Gran Telea is the capital city of Beatavic, largest and principle city of the Gran Telea-Fairbrook metropolitan area and the smallest province in land area. As of 2020 it has a population of 4.2 million, being the second largest city in Beatavic in terms of population.

Gran Telea was previously incorporated into the Greenbridge province but after a bill was passed, the city was granted the status of province.

On August 30th, 2021, an earthquake measuring 8.2 originating 121.3 km (75.3 mi) west of Gran Telea created a tsunami which measured 37.2 m (122 ft) in Sarrapaluk, a town 110.8 km (68.8 mi) south of Gran Telea. At 2:32 PM local time, an alert was issued ordering those that live within a 18.1 km (11.2 mi) radius of the Galton Sea to evacuate inland. 6 hours after the alert was issued, the tsunami struck Gran Telea, although most people within the specified radius of the Galton Sea were already evacuated.

Gran Telea has what is considered to be one of the most extensive public transportation networks in Nortua, with the city having 12 metro lines (with 2 more under construction) covering a total of 93.4 km (58.0).
