12cm m/44 Öbvaryazhely Grundunluftvärnsavtagevarrn, 12cm Superheavy Dual-purpose Self-loading gun is a Dnieguan 120mm Dual purpose anti-aircraft and anti-surface artillery piece. Amagazine loaded super heavy gun, it saw use on a large number of Dnieguan ships in the late and post war era, and formed the backbone of Dnieguas land based aircraft and shore defense gun batteries until the age of the missile. The gun remains in service today aboard several Dnieguan ships and sees service in some land based fortresses.
As Anti-Aircraft missiles became more and more common, the gun reached obsolescence for air defense. However, its high rate of fire and heavy payload made it ideal for bombardment and anti-surface use, effectively allowing the gun to remain into service today. The basic design of the gun was instrumental in creating and introducing the later Bandkannon 1, a 155mm autoloading artillery gun that sees heavy use among Skandar states today. In effort to retain its effectivness, Dniegua developed a nuclear 120mm shell, the NrGrt m/59E, which had a 4 kiloton blast yeild to destroy waves of incoming bombers or shell positions at long range.
