A by-election for the Kyotakavian Assembly constituency of Albaniv was held on 9 September 1924. It was triggered by the death of the KUSSC Representative (Rep.) Georgikov Alexi who was killed on 31 July 1924 by Svozgardan soldiers whilst attending a picket line during the general strike. The by-election was won by Georgikov's daughter Melanni Alexi, with KUSSC increasing its vote share by 9.8%.
The election was seen as a warning sign for the 1925 Kyotakavian general election as the Populist vote share collapsed in Albaniv, a mining town in the "Coal Belt", something which would be repeated across similar seats in eastern Nodstok as the Populists lost every "Coal Belt" seat, and the deposits of their candidates.
