After 1970 the Belfrasian Armed Forces developed a system of identification codes for self-made equipment.
Missile/Rocket Ordnance
- Explanation
The basic designation for every missile or rocket is based on a set of letters in a certain sequence. The first letter is the environment in which the item is launched. The second is the purpose of the missile, such as it's mission. The third is what kind of weapon the item is, or if it's just a vehicle of movement.
Examples of guided missiles are:
- AGM - (A) Air-launched (G) Surface-attack (M) Guided missile
- AAM - (A) Air-launched (D) Decoy/Training (M) Guided missile
- ADM - (A) Air-launched (T) Training (M) Guided missile
- IAM - (I) Infantry-launched (A) Anti-Air (M) Guided missile
A number follows. This number, which may be followed by consecutive letters to designate a modification, is the model of the item. A dash, followed by a final letter, designates specific warnings about the missile.
- AAM-104D-N means:
- A - The item was air-launched;
- A - The item is designed to attack air targets;
- M - The item is a guided missile;
- 104 - Item is the 104th AAM designed;
- D - Forth modification;
- N - Item carries a nuclear warhead;
In addition, most ordnance have names, such a Foreganger or Trebuchet.

Cannot be interacted with after launch and cannot alter its own course. |----- | T || Torpedo || Item is an underwater operating item. |----- |}
- Forth Letter - Special Information
Usually temporary, case-by-case basis. Does not generally stay with a modification serial unless modification only carries a nuclear warhead for example.
