In 2015, Lorican Chairman Stanislav Rodchenko ordered the abolishment of the Lorican Policy on the One-child Policy. His administration believes that the Lorican nation would be able to expand further into 2020, allowing for more territories to support the growth of the Lorican nation as well as gaining more natural resources. The Chairman's actions was well-received by the Lorican public.

However, The International nations were however outraged at this repealment of the policy for a reason of aggression into foreign territory. The Quenminese and Joyongheans were the first to react to the repeal of the policy, citing that it was a 'foolish' thing for a leader to do. These events would contribute to the spark that ignited the Imperial Crisis.

Background

As early as 2009, Chairman Rodchenko, after being elected as the new chairman of the People's Democratic Republic of Lorica has discussed the possibility of having the country to return to its Imperial ways under a Communist and Totalitarian Rule. His Vice-Chairman, Elnathan Rickard was the first to express support in the repealment of the law; citing that:

"It is a must that there is a need to repeal the one-child policy of Lorica that has been in existence since 1962. This is supported by the fact that the Lorican Armed Forces are ready enough for a massive expansion into the West, East and South. Gaining those territories will mean that more space for the people will be provided"

The Lorican Congress however dismissed the Chairman's ambitions but in 2011, The Chairman forcibly abolished Congress by having the military taking over the Congress itself and had its head executed and installed his own Chief of Staff, Isaïe Arceneaux as the head of Congress. He did this in order to make his ambitions seem to come true. His Admiral, Vladan Makhmudov heavily influenced the people that the need for more territories was desired and that the Lorican People would like to see their nation back to its Imperial self.

Repealment

On the 29th of October, 2015; Chairman Rodchenko finally repealed the one-child policy after clandestinely rearming his nation; building a massive 1 billion men strong and numerous technology (some borrowed from the Imperials). Most of the Lorican People expressed their heavy support due to the dispute with Quenmin and Joyonghea for control on territories including Bethausia. This event caused international outrage, especially from its neighbors including the Lucis Commonwealth.

International Reaction

Reactions to the repealment caused international outrage and sparked further tensions between Lorica and the nations of Quenmin, Joyonghea, Bethausia as well as the Lucis Commonwealth. However, the repealment received praise from nations that are allied with Lorica such as the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance, Atlantic Federation, Bahatsva including the Midgar Federation.

Joyonghean Prime Minister Choi Jong-seok expressed that the sanctity of life is able to be given importance while international laws were violated due to the reasons provided.

"They have solved the problem of human dignity, but not of the dignity of the international community"

Quenminese Prime Minister Ngô Sáng Hiếu was delighted that the policy was repealed but strongly disagreed on the pronunciation on the Act of Aggression.

"I would have to give them credit for ending their quite inhumane policy of population control, but I would have to disagree with their reason for moving their peoples to territories that are not theirs."

Lucian Prime Minister Ignis Stupeo Scientia said that Lorica violates the Laws of the Non-Aggression Pact that ended the War of Lorican Aggression and added that the Commonwealth of Nations and the Association of Asianna Nations will be ready for anything the Loricans will throw. 2 Months Later, The First Batch of Commonwealth Troops arrive in Joyonghea, Quenmin and Bethausia.

"The Chairman violates the Non-Aggression Pact of 1975, giving no respect to International Laws that ended the horrific conflict 40 years ago. With this, The Commonwealth and the Association of Asianna Nations will be ready for anything they do as their hearts desire."

Bethausian Prime Minister Myo Myat Khant provided that he is aware that the Loricans had a way to control their population but is inhumane to expand into foreign territories.

"I know that they have to find a way to control their population, but it is unwise of them to relocate them to their "owned" lands"
