Presidential elections were held in Zacotia on Saturday, 15 August 2020.

The elections operate under a two-round system whereby a run-off vote is held if no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote. Martin Povnik of the liberal Civic Alliance announced his candidacy in April 2020. Klavdijo Avsenik, who has been the incumbent president since 2005, announced his candidacy in June 2020. He ran as an independent but is supported by the right-wing Zacotian Union party.

Prominent opposition figures Gregor Petrovič and Štefanija Novak boycotted the election, calling it "unfair and fraudulent". Avsenik's government has insisted that the electoral process is fair, and invited election observers from Vierzland, Corthe, and the Aitic Federation to observe the process. The Union of Patyrian States' Election Commission declined to deem the election fraudulent, but stated that the political environment in Zacotia was "hostile" to opposition groups and that the country's media is "characterized by state dominance".

Avsenik won the first round with 76% of the vote, thereby removing the need for a second round and securing his reelection. Scattered protests against Avsenik's reelection were held in Lukovo and Ladnica, but were dispersed by security forces.
