The 2021 winter heat wave in the Republic of La Boca was an unusual increase in minimum and maximum temperatures throughout the country that lasted from July 9 to July 23 (gregorian date). Meteorologists concluded that this phenomenon would not be as harsh as those that occurred in 2013, 2015 and 2018, but possible because of La Nina oscilation in the equatorial Pacific. For two consecutive weeks, there were maximum temperatures between 31 and 35 degrees Celsius, but the thermal sensation exceeded 40 degrees in various parts of the country. In the hottest city, Floresta, 44 degrees Celsius were registered.

Aftermath

This heatwave left three deaths associated with heatstrokes in the cities of La Plata and Resistencia
