The 2022 Invasion of Azil refers to an armed conflict that occurred between the Kingdom of Azil and the Somodi-Timeria Coalition. Spanning from April 25th, 2022, to November 11th, 2022, the invasion aimed to overthrow the autocratic ruler, King Salar Curcian, and diminish the global influence of the notorious organization known as SHADOW. Azil, a nation plagued by oppression under King Salar's regime, had established connections with various terrorist organizations, including SHADOW.

    Prelude

    Somodi-Timerian Task Force

Responding to the plight of the Azilian population and determined to curtail SHADOW's reach, the Somodi-Timeria Coalition began amassing forces in early April. Both the Timerian and Somodi militaries possessed superior numbers and advanced weaponry compared to Azil.

    Force Buildup

In the weeks leading up to the invasion, both the Timerian and Somodi armed forces engaged in an extensive force buildup to ensure a decisive advantage over Azil's military capabilities. This buildup encompassed various branches of the military, including the air force, army, marines, and special forces.

Timerian and Somodian Forces on Somyost Island

Somyost Island served as a vital staging area for the Coalition's invasion forces. Both the Timerian and Somodian marines were positioned on this island, preparing for their role in the amphibious and airborne assault on Azil's capital, Tomarka. The marines underwent intensive training and coordination exercises to ensure seamless cooperation during the crucial landing operations.

    Invasion

    Invasion and Capture of Tomarka

On April 25th, the combined forces of Somodi and Timeria initiated landing and airborne operations from Somyost Island with the primary objective of capturing Azil's capital city, Tomarka. With the Timerian air force establishing dominance in the skies, the invaders launched a coordinated assault on multiple fronts. Overwhelming Azil's defenses, the Somodi-Timeria Coalition swiftly advanced, encountering minimal resistance from the beleaguered Azilian military. This operation involved a series of meticulously planned military maneuvers, including the deployment of various units and a daring special forces raid to capture King Salar Curcian.

    Capture of King Salar

Simultaneous to the invasion of Tomarka, a daring special forces raid was conducted to capture King Salar Curcian. A highly trained and specialized unit, comprising personnel from both Somodi and Timerian forces, was tasked with infiltrating the heavily fortified palace where King Salar resided.

Under the cover of darkness, the special forces unit conducted a covert insertion into the heart of Tomarka. Utilizing their expertise in stealth and close-quarters combat, they navigated through the labyrinthine corridors of the palace, neutralizing opposition along the way. Facing minimal resistance due to the rapid collapse of Azil's command structure, the special forces unit swiftly located and apprehended King Salar, effectively ending his reign and crippling the Azilian government.

The capture of King Salar Curcian served as a significant symbolic victory for the Coalition, demoralizing the remnants of Azil's military and administration.
