The Aérospatiale-Dassault Mirage 4000 is a Sieuxerrian twin-engine, all-weather, fourth-generation jet fighter designed by Aérospatiale-Dassault.

Development

In 1978, the first aircraft of the project, the MB.2000, flew for the first time, with the larger MB.4000 flying next year in 1979. The navy dropped involvement in the Mirage 2000, instead focusing on the MB.4000 as a primary fleet defense fighter. In 1982, the first MB.2000 and 4000s entered service with the air force and navy.

Design

The Mirage 4000 is similar in shape to the Mirage 2000, however it has a large canopy, with a much more expansive view radius.
