Aithlin is the capital of Valyrion, a semi-autonomous republic of the Alfar Imperium and the chief financial center of Valyrion. Aithlin is distinct from many of Amador's city in that its cityscape does not emphasize nature in its design, rather it emphasizes a more industrial look. The government of Valyrion is housed in Aithlin, as well as the residence of the Archon.
Aithlin sits at the westernmost tip of Valyrion on the Keksan Peninsula on the Tigoth Harbor. The Port of Aithlin is among the largest ports in the Imperium and a primary nexus of trade for Varathron. The city also houses numerous military institutes, including the Valryion Military Academy and the International Arcane University.
