Alchar Salle

Alchar Salle (full title): Fer Alchar Salle, Third Fer Alchar of Ellese (December 15 1940-October 9 2016), was the Fer of Ellese from 1974-2016.

Personal Life

Salle married in 1976. He had been planned to marry 10 years earlier, but the independence events and his accession to the throne interrupted that. His oldest son, Misrl Salle, was born in 1980. He lived in the purpose-built palace of the royal family only occasionally, preferring to spend most of his time in a small house on a large property in the semi-rural outskirts of Torsvilo. In personality, he was described as being "quiet and introverted and very hard-working, sometimes arrogant." He was very intellectual, seeming to enjoy the business of politics and often seeing his country as a board which he should try to figure out to make better, in a kind of game or experiment-for better or for worse. He slept little and spent the vast majority of his time doing things that were connected to his work, in one way or another. However, he did enjoy weightlifting and would do this in the little free time he had. His favourite meals were reported to be Zaghat Stew, Sastair and Carmtarn.
