The 'Amadorian Dragon' is a two or four-legged winged carniverous reptile found in Amador. Scaled creatures, the dragon has a varying color palette, from white, brown, red, cream, to black, and several other colors. They are typically massive reptiles with the capability to breathe fire and have a strong connection to Amadorian magic, with dragons only capable of bonding with Alfar elves. Dragons possess immense power, once being capable of decimating ancient armies and acting as the first air force of Amador before the modern era.

Amadorian dragons were once used extensively as beast of war up until the late 1800s as the introduction of military equipment capable of injuring the beasts became promiment. Amador, in its ancient past, used the dragons to expand their empire and to face off against various foes throughout its history. In the modern age, the dragon is relegated to a royal post, operating in search and rescue operations, and as a symbol for Alfar High Society. The dragon is held in great reverance and freely roam the nation, though typically avoiding heavily populated areas.

Amadorian dragons are relatively docile and welcoming of company, though they are nonetheless wild creatures and will react should the need be warranted. They never stop growing and will live hundreds of years without a bonded rider, though a bonded dragon shares its rider's life force, living as long as their rider lives. A dragon will only ever bond with one rider, which is to the death.
