Andrew C. Kline (born January 1, 1981) is the current President and CEO of MedCam Community. He was previously Vice President of Operations and Innovations for HealthLink for two and a half years. He was hired by MedCam to become the new President and CEO of MedCam Community. Kline was named the fifth most influential person in health care by Modern Health. They also named him the second most influential person in health care for people Under 40.

Early life and education

Andrew Kline was born and raised in Cecilton, Rhodesia. He graduated from Langley High School in the Sheraden neighborhood of Cecilton. Kline received his Bachelor's degree in Health Policy and Management from the University of Rhodesia where he was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Kline then went on to get his Master's degree in Health Administration from Rhodes University.

He completed an administrative fellowship at Mercy Hospital in Cecilton, Rhodesia.

Career

After completing his fellowship at Mercy, he was hired by HealthLink as their Vice President of Operations and Innovations. Kline sent two and a half years in that position. He began to execute strategic and operational growth plans, and roll-out a new Electronic Health Record, for all HealthLinks facilities.

Kline accepted MedCam's offer to become the new President and CEO of MedCam Community, a new subsidiary of MedCam Health System. He succeeded George J. Rothman III, who resigned as Community's President and CEO after 25 years with the healthcare system. MedCam Health System President and CEO Dr. Russell Ford said: “Andrew brings a wealth of experience and energy to his new role, and I look forward to his continued success in expanding care, services, and getting MedCam Community back into good financial shape.”

On December 6, 2021, Kline was appointed to replace Jennifer Hepfer as chair of the board at Vixen, Inc. and became the first non-Hepfer to be appointed to this position in the company's 68-year history. He became Chairman on January 1, 2022.

He serves on the boards of directors of the Cameron Bank Corporation, XXX, and Vixen, Inc.

Civic activities

Kline is currently serving a three-year term on the board of trustees for Salisbury Area Community College. He served as a President of Cecilton Young Professionals from 2012-2014 and served as a trustee of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund from 2016-2019.

Personal life

In 2008, Kline married Katrina Weber, the current CEO of Fenmore’s Rhodesia and the daughter of John Michael Weber, who served as the Premier of Unity from XXXX to XXXX. They have two children and reside in Albemarle.
