Anton Barodin (Venadian: Антон Бародин, transcript: Anton Barodin) is a Venadian author, most famous for writing the Legacy of Cartan series of books. He is considered the finest fiction author of modern Venadian history, and his books have attained wide popularity. Barodin himself prefers to keep fans of his works at arm's length however, and spends most of his time in his dacha in northern Kostrovsk. He is a supporter of the Unity Party but have refused requests to contest elections for them, considering politics to be beneath him. Anton Barodin is the last surviving male of the Barodin boyar family.
