Asami Sato (born 20 July 1986) is the sole daughter and heir of Hiroshi and Yasuko Sato. Upon their deaths in 2013, she inherited her family's fortune and its associated business empire, the Sato Corporation, one of the "Big Ten" megacorporations in Kipan. Since taking over the corporation, she has rapidly expanded Sato's business portfolio beyond automobiles to a wide range of other business sectors in a direct challenge against the other nine. Her moves have already been noticed by the State's oldest and largest corporation, Samura.

Her love and talent for complex machinery were discovered from an early age by her father who actively supported her in further exploring it. Between her father and her schooling, it inspired her to pursue her bachelors and masters degrees in engineering from Miyako University's Raitaru School of Engineering. Upon her return from studies, she took a supportive role by testing the vehicles coming off the Sato production lines on the company's race track. In short order, she became an outstanding racer. One of her first acts as the new CEO of Sato would be to field a proper racing team to promote the corporation, with her in the driver seat.

She knew that her father's death sent a signal to the other major conglomerates and many had their eyes on taking Sato's assets. Asami would not let that happen and applied her engineering acumen and fierce determination stemming from the self-defense training she had received in her youth, to embark the Sato Corporation on an aggressive campaign of expansion to show the competition that Sato wasn't going anywhere, while constantly investing in the founding automotive contingent. In the five years that the corporation has been under her control, it has added real estate, household and consumer products, hotels, supermarkets, telecommunications just to name a few. Asami is only 32 and she's only just getting started.

When she's not in the boardroom, she's on the race course driving the latest car off the assembly line; playing Pai Sho; or enjoying the family estate located in an outer ward of Miyako.
