Asbjørn Austad (born 11 February 1930, died April 20 2023) was a Caspiaan politician who served as the 50th Prime Minister of Caspiaa from 1986 to 1990. He was a member of the Social Democratic, elected in a landslide election following the "Term of Turmoil" in which the Conservative Party had three Prime Ministers in the span of 4 years. Public education was a major focus in the Austad administration, as the Prime Minister's government oversaw a 1.1 billion dollar school construction initiative, and funded millions in college scholarships to Caspiaan students. Austad made efforts to reform land use policy, and signed several executive orders which created task forces and interagency councils. Austad also instituted the construction of the E1 Anton Mossing Bridge connecting the main island to Balstad Island, which is Euronia's longest cabled spanned bridge.
