The August Revolution was a revolution in 2021 against the Slavic Union and it's ruling Slavic Union Party. The Slavic Union had been a home to a brutal dictatorship since 1940, when Nikifor Osipov banned all political parties besides his own and declared himself Vozhd of the Slavic Union. The revolutions causes go all the way back to the start of the dictatorship but riots sprung up across the Slavic Union on August 28 when police opened fire on protestors, officially killing 66. Police and the army were unable to suppress these riots and many soldiers mutinied, most notably General Mirogad Kozar, who refused direct orders to open fire on the rioters. As the nation collapsed several factions attempted to seize power.

On August 30th Vozhd Matvei Pavlov was forced to resign before being killed by a mob. The riots died down rather quickly after this, and the Slavic provisional government was set up.
