The BT-16 is a Gorbatovic fifth-generation main battle tank that entered service in 2016, with the Proletarian Liberation Army Ground Force, and was developed by Stolin Rybak Design Bureau, and produced by Stolin Tractor Plant for the Proletarian Liberation Army. The BT-16 was designed to be an equivalent to the Stasnovan T-17 tank, and a replacement for the BT-82 and BT-67 tanks.
Variants
- Object 195 – Initial prototype version.
- BT-16A – Standard production variant in service with the Proletarian Liberation Army.
- An unmanned version of the BT-16 is planned and is currently in development.
Export
Operators
- Gorbatov: The Proletarian Liberation Army have placed an order for around 500 BT-16As by 2024. The first batch of 100 tanks was delivered in early 2017 for active duty testing.
