Balochistan, officially the Republic of Balochistan (Balochi: جُمہُوریۂ بلوچستان, Jumhūriya'eh Balōčistān), is a sovereign country in West Asia. It borders Iran to the west, Afghanistan to the north, Pakistan to the east and the Arabian sea to the south.
Balochistan is a presidential republic consisting of seven provinces. Most of Balochistan's population belongs to the Balochi ethnic group, who speak Balochi, a Iranian language. English is used as the inter-ethnic language. While the state is constitutionally secular, Islam is practiced by 98% of the population
