The Grand Imperium of Bearia (GIB), also known as the Grand Empire of Bearia (GEB) and commonly referred to as Bearia or 'the Beros', is an Absolute Monarchy located in Southern Amanir. With an estimated population of 403 Million and a vast territory across Southern Achara including a couple islands off its coast. The capital is Bearstin (City) and the largest city is Riverington.

The people that would become the Bero's originally lived on islands north of Achara where their warrior culture developed rapidly having to fend off pirate invasions. Shortly before the Dance of Princes, an unknown people (later known as the Butchers) began raids on their islands forcing the Beros to the mainlands. They quickly assimilated into the Aydinirian Empire. The Dance of Princes broke out shortly after their arrival and the Beros largely fought on Ariozhar's side. The Beros distinguished themselves in combat and became feared warriors throughout the Civil War. During the Battle of Hwarthas, Paz the Immortal, a guard of for the Emperor held the Beros back during a battle and proceeded to slaughter both sides, thus beginning the Bero Rebellion.

Etymology

Bearstin was the word developed to describe the country in which 'the Beros' resided in. While not Bero in origin, the term soon became adopted by 'the Beros' as a more modern take on their civilization. Eventually, the word evolved into Bearia as it was often confused with its capital city. Today, different countries use different names. Aydinirians generally say 'the Beros', but other nations commonly use Bearia, or in some cases Bearstin.

History

Pre-Arrival

How 'the Beros' got to the islands they originally inhabited is a mystery to modern scholars, but by 200 BJ they had vast cities scattered across the islands they inhabited. They quickly developed a warrior culture as they were constantly under attack by pirates and a neighboring tribe call the Sha'kaya.

In 130 BC, the Beros had finally exterminated the neighboring tribe in what many in modern times would call a brutal genocide. Bero Oral Tradition spared no detail and it is said that this decisive victory of the tribe was accompanied by the rape, enslavement, and murder of much of the populace.

In the middle of Jashor, a series of catastrophic events led to the abandonment of the islands. It is belived that a category five hurricane struck the island, causing immense destruction, famine, and death. Legend has it that just as the strom cleared and the light was seen, a fleet of warships of unknown people came upon the islands and killed everyone in their path. These people were different from the pirates that the Beros had routinely slaughtered. The fighting power and verocity of these people startled even the brutal Bero people and after a series of cities were wiped out, the Beros believed that they had to abandon the islands.

Arrival on Southern Achara

The Beros made landfall in Aydinir shortly before the start of the Dance of Princes in the lands of Ariozhar. As the Dance of Princes broke out, the Beros jumped to fight for Ariozhar, quickly distinguishing themselves as fierce warriors and further entrenching warfare into their culture. At some point, Paz the Immortal became a guard and adviser to the Aydinirian Emperor Ariozhar. Later in the war, the Beros started to feel disrespected and at the Battle of Hwarthas, the Beros disobeyed orders to join the battle. As the battle neared a close and both sides weakened, the Beros jumped in and slaughtered both sides, officially starting the Bero Rebellion. The First Bero Empire was declared and Paz the Immortal was declared Emperor of the Beros.
