Candidates
- Jacob Grossman - sitting Vice-President and current poll-leader.
- Adam Goldstein - sitting Governor of Rustonia and currently second in the polls.
- Shmuel Ashkenazi - businessman and sitting CEO of major energy conglomerate Ashkelon Energy Group.
Former candidates
- Ian Settas - current Senate Majority Leader, sitting junior Imperial Senator from Provisa, and scion of the Settas political family. He was formerly the second-highest polling candidate, nearly matching Grossman by the late fall of 2015. He withdrew after a poor debate performance, less-than-expected fundraising totals, and a series of stumbles on the stump.
- Yosef Gantman - Tory libertarian and former Governor of the Ross Archipelagos who ran a largely quixotic campaign. He withdrew after fundraising troubles and lack of major support within the party.
- Zander Leibowitz - former Imperial Senator who won no provinces or delegates in the Super Tuesday contests, subsequently withdrew from the race and ended his campaign on April 1st, 2016.
Liberal Democrats
Candidates
- Yitzchak Feinstein - sitting Governor of Arkania and current poll-leader.
- Eric Nofkasky - former Imperial Senator from North Dakos, a failed 2012 presidential candidate, and former Senate Minority Leader.
- Rebecca Greenstein - former Holleran-era Foreign Minister and currently second in the polls.
- Yossi Bloomburg - a technology entrepreneur, former CEO of D-TechHub.

First Primary in Raffen
On March 22nd, the first primary occurred. Provincial election officials reported record turnout among registered voters, topping 16.1%. Candidates in both parties have been campaigning in the province since January 2015, when Tory Ian Settas attended an in-province party fundraiser, credited by political watchers as the kickoff of the campaign season.
Conservatives
The winner for the Conservatives was businessman Shmuel Ashkenazi with 31%, followed by Jacob Grossman with 28% and Adam Goldstein with 21%.
Candidate | Popular vote | Delegates won | Ranking |
---|---|---|---|
Shmuel Ashkenazi | 31.4% | 7 | 1 |
Jacob Grossman | 28.1% | 6 | 2 |
Adam Goldstein | 21.3% | 5 | 3 |
Zander Leibowitz | 19.2% | 4 | 4 |
Liberal Democrats
The winner, declared on April 1st, 2016, is Yitzchak Feinstein. Initial results showed Feinstein and Rebecca Greenstein separated by less than 205 votes, each about with 40%, followed by Yossi Bloomburg with 14% and Eric Nofkasky with 5%. A recount was conducted, with local election officials declaring Feinstein the winner by 77 votes on April 1st.
Unlike the Tories, who use proportional representation for delegation awarding in Raffen, the provincial Lib Dems use a winner-take-all model.
