Belogorsk is the fifth-largest city in Beleroskov with a population of 1.3 million people. It is located on the coast of the Beleroskov Sea in the southwestern shore near the border with Ossotia. It is the second-largest port in the country after Yelansty. Belogorsk is a large and important social, political, economic, industrial, and cultural centre in Beleroskov with a continental climate characterised by mild summers and cold winters. The life of Belogorsk's citizens has always been intrinsically linked to the ocean, which has not only served as the main commercial thoroughfare of Belogorsk throughout several centuries, but also has great visual appeal. In the summer, Belogorsk's waterfront and beaches are some of the main recreation sites for both local citizens and tourists. In the winter, however, the port is often covered by ice, making both tourism and trade unappealing.
