The Besmenian Republic (Besmenian: Besmenische Republik) was short lived Besmenian state that emerged from the Besmenian Empire after the West Besmenian Revolution in 1966 when Rudolf Bötte proclaimed the republic on June 9, 1966.
The republic was shaped by the West Besmenian economic crisis which had lasted since 1964. During this time, the West Besmenian mark was the official currency. With the currency treaty which was signed on March 10, 1967, the East Besmenian schilling became on April 1 the official currency.
