Blacksand Air Force Base was built to serve the former Azuran regime, and was secured early on in the campaign by elements of the 2nd Confederate Marine Division. The base currently serves as a major supply hub, being the primary receiving point for all military supplies entering Terre Azure from the Confederate mainland.

The base offers several amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, movie theater, post office, Optimis Cibariis, Combat Support Hospital, and a rec center featuring pool tables and alcoholic beverages. Blacksand is self-sufficient for producing drinking water, having both a reverse osmosis water purification plant and a bottling plant. The garrison lives in the original Azuran barracks, although a handful of re-purposed shipping containers are set up for transition periods, during which the number of troops at the base doubles.
