Buah Lazat is a country located in East Asia, considered one of the most developed economies in the continent and in the world. During the government of the longest time serving President, Benderang bin Indera, the country reached the highest development, together with the eradication of poverty and decrease of inflation. During Indera's government (1963-2021), the Parliament enacted many laws worsening the punishments for cases of corruption.

Climate
Buah Lazat features a tropical rainforest climate, with uniform temperatures all-year long. Lows never fall above 20 °C (68 °F). There are not a significant dry season, but the heavy rains are concentrated from March to May and from September through November, the rest of the months are relatively less rainy.

Demographics
Ethnicity
Most of the population in Buah Lazat belongs to the ethnicity known as Bumiputera or Pribumi, the natives of the islands who inhabited them many centuries ago. The second largest minorities are foreigners from many parts of East and South Asia, like Indians and Chinese (mainly coming from the southern parts of those countries). Other indigenous groups include Dayak, Kadazan, Melanau and Buyau. There are at least 50 thousand different indigenous ethnicities.
Religion
According to the last census, most of the people follow Islam, mostly Sunni and adherents of the Shafi'i school of religious law. The second largest group are Buddhists, concentrated mainly in Singapore as well as in Pinang and Selangor.
Economy
Buah Lazat is a middle income mixed economy where most of the population lives in cities as well as near the coastal areas. However, an important 22-25% of the population works in the rural areas. The fruit harvesting sector and the fishing are the most important economic activities. Tourism is on the rise since 1980 when the government itself launched a campaign to improve tourism and immigration for the less populated areas of the country.
