Burnach, officially the City of Burnach (Buggan: Burnach Orden) is a coastal city located in the south of the region of Yokjer, Yogania. It´s 25 million inhabitants make it the largest city in Yokjer and the capital and the second largest city in Yogania after Yocopo. It is also the capital and largest city of the state of the same name. Burnach was founded around 870 A.D. on the coast of the Yoganian Sea. It has been the main trading port of the country since at least the 11th century, experiencing commercial boom during the Buggan Empire and the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century. Burnach is also a hub for tourism, being the second most visited city in Yogania after the capital Yocopo with 5 million visitors in 2019. Kaldyrinn Beach is the main tourist attraction of the city, drawing in visitors from all over Yogania and Europe. Burnach is also known for it's mild climate, reaching up to 25 degrees Celsius in the summer months and down to 5-10 degrees Celsius in the winter months, making it one of the hottest cities in Yogania.
Etymology
The name Burnach may have came from the Ancient Yoganian word Byrnegan, which may have meant "sand" or "fire".
