The Currus Cataphractus CC-5 was a development of previous flawed designs by the Imperial government to maintain a modern force in the 20th century. Incorporating a rotating turret on the rear superstructure armed with a 57mm Whitewater gun. Its armor was up to 15mm thick, giving the vehicle a total weight of nearly 9 tons. Power was provided by an Orangeblossom 1914 4-cylinder 60 hp gasoline engine, giving a maximum speed of 14 to 18 km/h with range of 65–70 km. A "female" version armed with one or two Whitewater 1909 machine guns was also developed for use in combat, often deployed in support of their cannon carrying siblings.
