CDI Taveria Command (CDITC) is the supreme military command for Central Defense Initiative (CDI) military forces stationed in the Taverian continent. CDI member states contribute to maintain what is termed a "credible, permanently deployed presence" in Belhavia, including stocks of vehicles, armaments, and ammunition pre-sited in depots in central-north Belhavia. In the event of a regional emergency, personnel may be ferried to these mobilization sites by air, reconstituting their formation in situ and being able to take part in combat operations immediately. The command has been explained to be maintained to act as a "quick-reaction CDI force" in the Global South.
REFORBEL
The CDITC is set up according to the REFORBEL concept. The acronym stands for "Return of Forces to Belhavia" - the movement of personnel from their respective countries to Belhavia to utilize equipment pre-sited for this purpose. This rapid mobilisation ability is practiced on a biennial basis as "Exercise REFORBEL". In the event of an actual crisis, this will be referred to as "Operation REFORBEL".
While some analysts have questioned the viability of this rapid reinforcement concept in the event of a surprise attack, CDI planners believe that, barring a total failure of intelligence, some warning of an invasion would always be manifest. In the worst case, REFORBEL will compel potential enemies to launch an 'cold-start' attack with no or limited preparation efforts which would attract the attention of CDI intelligence, limiting the potency of the attack and allowing the Belhavians to stand their ground until reinforcements arrive.
Order of Battle
Commonwealth Army South Pardes ('CASP')
The CASP is the main element of Arthurista's military presence in Belhavia. It is based around two manoeuvre divisions and one brigade: the Commonwealth Army's 9th Division, the Commonwealth Marines' Task Force Triton and Edwardian Army's 3rd Mechanised Brigade Group. They are supported by the 7th Utility Helicopters Group, 17th Heavy Artillery Brigade and the 6th Force Support Group, all Commonwealth Army units. The Commonwealth Marines and Edwardian Army contingent are specifically trained and equipped to operate in sub-arctic conditions and, as such, were deemed the most suitable for deployment to South Taveria by planners. In peacetime, the 9th Division and the force support elements are permanently stationed in central Belhavia, while TF Triton and the Edwardian brigade will be rapidly airlifted into theatre upon the declaration of an emergency by CDI command.
CASP is supported by the Commonwealth Air Force's XIII Fighter Wing, including four fighter squadrons (Two squadrons of Super Cyclone FGR and two squadrons of Tempest FGR2), one electronic warfare squadron (Mercury ECR), one UCAV squadron (NOVA Drone) and one command and surveillance flight (E-3 Sentry, E-8 JSTAR, Arthuristan Dynamics Horus).
CASP's total peacetime ground forces strength is approximately 24,000 personnel in peacetime, rising to 80,000 within 12-24 hours of full activation.
Eagleland Forces Belhavia ('EFBEL')
The Eagleland Forces Belhavia (Greek: Αετοχωρική Δύναμη Βελχαβίας), known as EFBEL or Α.ΔΥ.Β., refers to the 10,000-strong contingent of the Eagleland Armed Forces in Belhavia proper. Eagleland Forces Belhavia is a collective term for Army, Marine Forces, and Air Force components stationed 500 km near the Estovakivan border. EFBEL includes 7,000 Army personnel, consisting of two Brigades: the 157th Air Assault Brigade and 256th Air Defence Brigade. The 157th are specially trained to be highly mobile and are able to be used to flank enemy forces. The 256th Air Defence Brigade are mainly to support allied and Eaglelander installations from enemy air attacks.
The remaining 2,500 personnel includes the 77th Combat Wing, with four air superiority squadrons; three are built around the F-15SG, and one around the F-29A Warrior Stealth Aircraft, which includes both the combat and support personnel required for this role. An additional 500 Marines are stationed at Camp Maxwell, Dakos. Though a part of EFBEL, this group is SOF capable and is uniquely suited for unconventional warfare behind enemy lines, which includes direct action, sabotage, reconnaissance and, when necessary, ambushes. They may act autonomously or in conjunction with allied Marine or irregular warfare forces.
EFBEL does not include Eaglelander Maritime Forces stationed at Camp Maxwell, Dakos. However, according to Operation REFROBEL, four divisions of conscripts in inactive National Service will be raised and deployed to Belhavia. This will include three armoured and one mechanised division, based around EL-35 Main Battle Tank and EL-25 Infantry Fighting Vehicle platforms, alongside artillery and air defence support. For logistical reasons, cargo transport elements in the Eagleland proper may be activated as and when required.
