Calpulli Caxtolli-Omone, which can be translated as Ward seventeen or District seventeen, is a Calpulli part of the Yancuicopan Urban Free Association in the Coalition of Coconeh Calpotlin. It was created in 1933 as a Company town part of the "Inter-districts Cooperation Initiative" pushed by the then-leader of the coalition, Cuecuex.
As it name implies, Caxtolli-Omone was part of a vast program of construction of similar "model districts" that were supposed to serve as the basis of all future Calpulleh after them. Of all these, Caxtolli-Omone was the closest to Azcapotzalco, the old capital of the Huehuetlatholoyan, and of Yancuicopan, the city that Maxtatlon had elected as his main residence. This meant that Ward Seventeen became a major part of Cuecuex' propaganda, to the point that the Coalition's leader even elected to make the district his permanent seat of power. As such, it became both the residence of many factory workers and their families, but also of a number of public officials and politicians.
Today, Calpulli Caxtolli-Omone is slowly changing its economic base as heavy industry is loosing in significance. It has also returned all its political influence to Yancuicopan proper after the death of Cuecuex. It remain a bastion of what has been called Federal Calpullism, with its elected officials and representatives at their Free Association's Council being staunch defenders of the Coalition, of the Assembly of All Calpotlin, and of the "coordinating powers" granted to the Calpuleque, the leader of the CCC executive.
