Current status

Currently the primary party, the Moderates party is the first in Caminoan political history to achieve an overwhelming majority vote; this led to freedom of choice to ally-up or form a coalition government since they did not need any more seats. However, Party Leader Lilja Oba decided to form a coalition government anyway despite the already overwhelming majority, as this created a semblance of union in parliament, according to her.

Party Chairman Sugiwara is also the incumbent mayor of Ianua city. Much of the popularity of the party is attributed to her handling of the current migrant crisis.
