Chirpr is an Aisling online news and social networking service launched in Janaury of 2010. Chirpr allows users to interact with other users from around the world by posting, replying to, or sharing messages known as "chirps". Chirps were originally restricted to 220 characters, however, after much public demand, this limit was increased to nearly 1,000 characters for almost every supported language. Registered users can post, like, and "rechrip" tweets, but unregistered users can only read them. Users can access Chirpr through a number of different models, including desktop computer and mobile phone applications, text messaging services, and through its website interface.

Chirpr was conceptualized by Emilio Deras and René Delgado in 2007 and by April of 2008 the basic coding and network framework was available. It took the two nearly two years to perfect the coding and locate a service to host the the service, seeing the service officially launched the following year, on January 2nd, 2010. The service gained instant popularity in Temuair, and saw rapidly increasing use and popularity worldwide. In 2011, just one year after launch, Chirpr had more than 100 million registered users posting some 210 million chirps a day, with the service handling an average of 990 million search queries per day. By 2015, Chirpr was one of the ten most-visited websites and was the fifth most downloaded smartphone application. As of December 31, 2018, more than 440 million users were registered with the service and actively using it, either by chirping or simply reading messages.
