Chiyomaru, Duchess of Yukino, or simply, Chiyomaru (KS: 千代丸, born 2 August 1991) is a Komashi royalty and the incumbent Duchess of Yukino, succeeding her sixth-generation cousin Misaki and is the first seventh-generation child of the House of Yukino to take the throne. She ascended to the throne on 9 March 2020 after the end of the Second Komashi Civil War. She is the eldest child in the seventh generation of the royal family and the first child of Duke Yuzume and Ashigara Shikishino. As a monarch of a confederal territory, she is also the commander-in-chief of the Royal Yukino Armed Forces, and representative of the Yukino state in the Confederal Parliament.
Due to the current Komashi War of Succession, Chiyomaru has been appointed as the supreme commander of the Yukino Coalition's inter-monarchy armed forces.
Early life
Chiyomaru was born on 2 August 1991 at the Kodachi Medical Center in Ninomae, Yukino KDK, Yukino. She is the first child of Duke Yuzume and Ashigara Shikishino, a Yukino-based actress and philantrophist. She was admitted into the house of Yukino as the first member of the seventh family generation. Her siblings born before the First Komashi Civil War are Lyssandra, Masato, Fukui, and Risa.
After her seventh birthday, Chiyomaru and her family lived in exile, after the Komashi federalists staged a coup d'état and dismantled the monarchy, thereby losing the Yukino clan's royal titles, but not their wealth and prestige, thanks to the demand of the people. During the period of them living in exile, her sixth-generation cousin, Misaki, made a family statement that Chiyomaru was to succeed her as the monarch of Yukino, once the monarchy returns. Duke Yuzume agreed on behalf of his daughter.
Despite the fall of the monarchy, Chiyomaru's schooling was not interrupted. She then grew with the rather simplistic, non-aristocratic way of life, along with her siblings. During this period, she then would see the seventh generation grow, as her mother gave birth to another three children, those being Alisa, Kishimaru, and Hibiki. Chiyomaru then finished primary school in late 2003, attended Ninomae High School the same year, and graduated in 2007. She briefly stopped schooling between 2007 to 2010 to make way and support her younger siblings.
In 2010, she left Yukino to restart her schooling. She primarily took her undergraduate studies in the University of Higanbana in Uramitsu, Aizawa. Her parents supported this decision, despite the Principality of Aizawa seceding from Komashi. In that time, both Aizawan citizens and officials were very congenial and extensively respectful of her presence, and properly addressed her as the Marquess of Yukino, her supposed order of prestige had the monarchy remained. Nevertheless, she remained modest but appreciative of how the people treated her there. This gesture would then influence the relations of the two states in the future.
Chiyomaru then graduated from Higanbana in 2018, completing her schooling. Afterwards, she returned to Yukino, and completing a degree in botany, became a licensed botanist and worked for two years.
Second Komashi Civil War and ascension
Around March 2020, Komashi once again fell into a civil war. Monarchists across Komashi then started widespread uprisings and eventually a revolution that escalated into a full-blown civil war. The Yukino family was then embroiled into the war, as the Komashi Self-Defense Forces tried to raid the family's house, but was foiled heavily by extreme resistance.
The three-day uprising and civil war ended on 8 March, with the reestablishment of Komashi as a confederal monarchy. King Tougo Azanami then brought back the peerage, and as ordered, Chiyomaru was bestowed with her title as the Duchess of Yukino, with her reign starting a day after.

Reconstruction of Yukino
During Chiyomaru's first days as the Duchess of Yukino, like most other Komashi confederal monarchs, her first order of business was to reconstruct her realm.
